Why so far and so fast?

The Prophet Muhammad died in the year 632. In the next hundred years Islam spread east, west and north to become the largest empire the world had known.
From Arabia Muslim armies marched north into what is now Iraq, Iran and Syria.

They marched east to Afghanistan and northern India.

They marched west to take over the whole of North Africa. They took control of most of Spain and marched into France.

Why did Islam spread so quickly between 632 and 732?

Heroes and heroines.

You have until the end of this lesson to finish your presentation.

Look carefully at the instructions. How can you make your presentation original and different?

Most of all, this is about the words you choose, the way you write about your hero or heroine.

You are competing against the others in the class, so you need to explain in your own words what makes your character special, why he or she is significant. Why should (s)he be remembered?

Here are some more good links. I can add more!
